Foxtrots knarkman Forat Omar, 32, levde lyxliv i Dubai och styrde nätverkets knarkhandel mot Sydsverige. Flickvännen var också med – tills hon inser att hon måste berätta sanningen.  Hon berättar för polisen om knarket men också det besinningslösa våld och dödshot Forat Omar utsatt henne för. Nu är båda dömda – han till elva års fängelse.

Mannen som var på besök i London hittades av polisen på måndagskvällen – medvetslös och med en huvudskada. I området, Notting Hill, pågick en karneval och det ska ha varit mycket folk i rörelse. Enligt polisen var han på besök i London och bosatt i Dubai. Den svenske mannen vårdades initialt av polisen på plats innan sjukvårdspersonal anlände. Hans skadeläge beskrivs nu som livshotande, enligt polisen. Attackerades utanför en restaurang Innan han attackerades ska mannen ha besökt ett matstånd utanför en restaurang. Enligt polisen ska det ha varit extremt mycket människor i rörelse på platsen på grund av karnevalen i området. Flera personer ska även ha försökt avvärja attacken. – Även om gripandet av en misstänkt är ett viktigt steg i vår utredning, är vi fortfarande väldigt intresserade av att höra folk som kan hjälpa oss förstå hur han rört sig, säger Brian Howie från Metropolitan Police. Polisen söker vittnen Tidigt på onsdagsmorgonen greps en 31-årig man i stadsdelen Newham, misstänkt för mordförsök. Polisen ber nu om hjälp och söker efter fler uppgifter kopplat till händelsen, för att kunna kartlägga den svenska mannens rörelser timmarna innan attacken. Polisen vill särskilt komma i kontakt med de som pratade med honom på restaurangen och de som försökte stoppa attacken. Polisen har nu släppt bilder på den skadade svenska mannen, i hopp om att personer ska känna igen honom och höra av sig. – Vi hoppas att det kan väcka någons minne och uppmanar dem att träda fram, säger Brian Howie.

Svenska UD har avrått från att resa till Libanon sedan 2013, och efter den senaste tidens eskalering mellan terrorstämplade Hizbollah och Israel har läget blivit än mer osäkert. Statsminister Ulf Kristersson och utrikesminister Tobias Billström har båda understrukit UD:s avrådan de senaste dagarna, och under fredagen kunde TV4 Nyheterna rapportera att man tillfälligt omlokaliserar den svenska ambassaden i landet till Cypern. – Jag uppmanar återigen svenskar i Libanon att lämna landet med de färdmedel som står till buds medan det fortfarande är möjligt, sa utrikesministern till TV4 Nyheterna. ”Vill inte ta den risken” Stockholmsbon Samhia El Masri har rötter i Libanon, och har varit i landet på besök tillsammans med sina två tonårssöner under sommaren. Hon säger att de har haft det jättebra när de träffat släkt och vänner, men att läget blivit mer spänt den senaste veckan, och att de nu har bestämt sig för att ta flyget tillbaka till Sverige i morgon söndag. – Vi vet inte vad som kommer hända. Det är massa rykten, och nu har svenska ambassaden stängt och flyttat till Cypern och då börjar man tänka att det är på allvar, säger hon till TV4 Nyheterna. – I går hörde jag att flygplatsen i Beirut ska avboka alla resor och då tänkte jag nej jag vill inte ta den risken. Jag har två tonåringar med mig och de säger att de vill åka om vi kan. Många vill stanna oavsett vad Samhia säger att hon hela tiden varit medveten om UD:s avrådan, men att man känt ett behov av att träffa familjen i Libanon. – Jag har familj, släkt och kompisar här och vi ser hur de lever. Det är många som reser hit – vi ser videoklipp och bloggar från folk som kommer från Dubai, Europa och liknande – och har det jättefint här. Hon säger att hon är jätteorolig och jätteledsen över vad som kan hända. – Men jag kan inte göra något. Jag kan hjälpa personer att resa men många vill stanna i Libanon oavsett. Det är precis som om något skulle hända i Sverige så skulle man inte vilja lämna sitt hemland. Statsministern: ”Åk hem” Statsminister Ulf Kristersson var på plats på söndagens prideparad, och var tydlig när TV4 Nyheterna passade på att ställa en fråga om situationen för de svenskar som befinner sig i Libanon: – Åk hem. Nu. – Det har funnits en avrådan under en längre tid och nu är läget alltmer akut. Så mitt enda råd och min starka rekommendation är att man ska åka hem. För vi kommer inte kunna hjälpa många människor om det blir ännu värre än i dag.
